How to Use your Student Portal

You now have access to our Student Portal, your go-to spot for managing everything related to your music journey! You should have received your login info in your email. Here’s what you can do through the portal:

Stay Updated with News and Announcements

The latest updates will greet you right when you log in, but you can also access them anytime by clicking the menu in the top left and selecting "News." This way, you'll always be in the loop on what's happening.

Check Your Lesson Schedule

Easily keep track of your upcoming lessons on the calendar. If you see an "X" on a lesson, that means it’s been cancelled. Don’t worry—if that happens, we’ll always notify you by email and/or text as soon as possible.

Sign Up for Classes, Recitals, and Make-Up Lessons

Through the portal, you can sign up for make-up lessons, recitals, and musicianship classes with just a click! You’ll be able to see your teacher’s availability, and all you have to do is pick a time that works for you. Some things to keep in mind:

  • You can’t cancel lessons on your own through the portal—just let your teacher or Kara know, and we’ll handle it for you.

  • Make-up lessons require make-up credits, which you’ll get when you provide 24-hour notice for a cancellation or if we have to cancel a lesson. Once you provide notice, give us a little time to get the credit into our system.

  • Once your credits are added, you can sign up for partial or extended make-ups (for example, a 15-minute slot uses 0.5 credits for 30-minute students).

For Musicianship Week, take an extra moment to make sure you're signing up for the right class—It will show all of that week’s classes your calendar, but we’ll send detailed descriptions to help you out.

Manage Your Lesson Reminders

We recommend turning on lesson reminders—it’s super handy for staying on top of things, especially when it comes to teacher absences! You can customize these in your settings.

Contact Your Teacher Directly

You can find your teacher’s contact info in the portal. We encourage you to message them directly for any last-minute schedule changes, like if you're running late or need to cancel the same day. It’s a quick and easy way to keep everyone on the same page!

*Please note, if you have elected not to be automaticaly charged for separate invoices for books, etc, you can still select “Automatically pay emailed invoices.” We will send an invoice and you will have the ability to review and pay manually. We require auto-pay to be turned on so that we can process tuition charges.
